I have no problem admitting that I like certain tv shows that others say I’m lame for watching. Recently, I’ve discovered that the CW has a lot of shows that I like- 90120, Melrose Place, The Beautiful Life (which had an intensely long 2 episode lifetime), Supernatural, and Smallville. If you think about it, that’s a lot of shows to watch on one network that I like to watch. Which is good for the network but uncommon. NBC has fallen off my map since they canceled the rebooted Knight Rider series. I like Heroes but I don’t actually tune in to watch. But I digress…

I’ve found myself watching the CW more and more for it’s now 4 renewing shows. There are 14 that have not been canceled that I watch and the CW has the largest share at 4, closely followed by USA (which is owned by NBC) with 3.  (90120, Aaron Stone, American Dad!, Clone Wars, Eureka, Family Guy, Heroes, Melrose Place, Psych, Royal Pains, Smallville, Supernatural, Warehouse 13, and Wizards of Waverly Place).

I’m not sure why, but it’s the CW shows I end up talking about the most. I find the drama of @9o12o interesting and along with Melrose Place, I like watching to see when the other shoe’s gonna fall on some of their schemes. I’m often left wanting more or being shocked by Supernatural because I don’t see some of those things coming. I used to like Smallville a lot after Clark stopped acting like a whimpering puppy because of Lana (old blog about it here) but the season 9 premiere has put me off. It wasn’t worthy of a season premiere and it’s making the outlook for Smallville very grim. Burning the S into stuff? How TACKY is that?! Eureka’s a good show but it’s not really something to talk about with friends as with most of the shows I watch. Family Guy’s funny (missed this season’s premiere) and I usually make references or talk in the Cleveland voice.

I think this year has the most new shows on television that I watch and coupled with reruns of my favorite shows, I could spend all day watching TV if I really wanted to. That’s all for now, I gotta get back to Melrose Place and Supernatural that I missed last week…

While I’d still watch a 9th season of Smallville [The transition to digital tv's made it possible to watch it free in HD when it airs so of course I'll watch! And the special effects are really good too!], I probably wouldn’t retoole my work schedule so I could watch it during it’s Thursday night timeslot like I do most of the time. For a few seasons I’ve been really disappointed with the Lex/Clark drama and I’m glad she’s finally outta the picture. I think a 9th season of Smallville would be pushing it though. The show’s done well and Clark’s finally developing into the Man of Steel. So to make a 9th season of Smallville and not put him in the cape and tights would be a bit ridiculous. And since they’ve said in the past no tights no flight, they’ve kinda screwed themselves for that since they never made Clark wear glasses. (continue reading…)

For someone who doesn’t like beer, I tend to drink a lot of them now-a-days. And it’s 3am and I’m drinking a beer. again. I’m an insomniac sometimes! I guess that’s what happens when I get to sleep late over Spring Break and I don’t have to be up till 3pm to watch Ellen. Who by the way is THE COOLEST TALKSHOW HOSTESS AND COMEDIENNE EVER! I wonder how surprised Ellen actually is when things she “doesn’t expect” happen on her show. Now Steve Carell scaring her I can see happening. You’d have to warn me not to curse daily if you were going to scare me but I don’t think Ellen would have that problem. But when Justin Timberlake appeared on the show the same day as Taylor Swift, I’m guessing Ellen had to know somehow. Or her producers are super coordinated and tight-lipped. I can see Mary being that crafty. She looks like she’s a great producer and from watching the show it’s well done. That face she (Ellen) made was priceless though when she read surprise from her teleprompter! I think it’d be really hard to surprise Ellen unless you were an audience member and you ran to hug her and dance with her after her monologue. It’d be hilariously great but I’m sure you’d be removed from the studio and banned rather quickly.
I dunno, it’s just something I was wondering…

So I decided to do a video for the Bathroom Concert Series. My idea’s pretty novel and original and I hope I win cause let’s face it, the chance to be at a studio taping of the ellen show or to even meet Ellen herself WOULD BE THE COOLEST THING EVER!
I just hope I can get all the pieces together like I want. And I hope kitty doesn’t keep meowing during the song cause it’s quite annoying but I love him to death.
