Have You Ever… thought of apologizing too late?
by Bakari on Jan 05, 2010, under Have You Ever...
Have you ever genuinely felt sorry or remorseful for something you’ve done and wanted to apologize to the person but realized that it might be too late and they might not appreciate or believe your sincerity?
Today I was thinking about that. There’s somebody I’ve known since the 3rd grade but senior year in high school we kinda got into it. We aren’t not friends because of it but I realized that it was pretty petty and I want to apologize. But I’m not because I don’t think they’d appreciate my sincerity and I don’t do empty gestures.

You can say almost anything here but if it's a slur, personal attack, or flame, find somewhere else to comment it. Anything else (within reason) can be said here. We're all friends here! {That's what I'm claiming anyway...} =]

depending on your strengths and comfor-level you should write a letter but only if you want (1)a clean conscience for future or (2)renewed friendship
if they will just fade into the dust then leave it alone, if you do run into eachother in future you can have an awkward coffee and catch-up. but if you want to clear the air and get ur buddy back, then do what works.. I’ve written a letter before, you get to say everything with no interruption, clear thoughts and they read it in a restful manner without confrontation u know.. no pressure.
